Instructions for using the pasture fence calculator

To find the optimal fence for your needs, our fence calculator offers you a simple and intuitive way to select the right fence. Follow these steps to use the calculator:

1. If necessary, adjust the cookie settings of our partner PATURA in the pasture fence computer window
2. Select power source: Start by selecting the type of power source for your fence. You have the choice between a 230 volt power source or a 12/9 volt power source.
3. Select animal species: In the next step, you define the type of animal for which the fence is intended. You can choose from wild boar, goats or sheep, horses, dogs & cats and cows.
4. Select the vegetation of the pasture: Specify the amount of vegetation in the area where the pasture fence will be installed. The options are no or hardly any vegetation, little vegetation, normal vegetation and heavy vegetation.
5. Select the length of the fence: Determine the desired length of your fence. You can choose between different lengths: 0-400m, 400-900m, 1-2km, 2-5km, 5-10km and 10-20km.

Once you have entered all the required information, the calculator will dynamically show you one or more suitable electric fencing devices based on your selection criteria. For each recommended device, you will receive important information such as

• Article no. or reference number
• Charging energy (in joules)
• Open-circuit voltage (in volts)
• Max. Pulse energy (in joules)
• Voltage (at 500 Ohm) (in volts)
