Quail hutch made of Douglas fir wood

This quail hutch combines natural materials, practical functions and a stable design - ideal for anyone who wants to offer their quails a safe and comfortable home. Made from durable Douglas fir wood, the coop impresses with its robust structure and harmonious appearance in the garden.

The spacious double doors can be conveniently locked with a key, providing optimum protection against uninvited guests. There is a practical storage space in the upper area - perfect for storing feed, hay, straw, wood shavings or for safely storing freshly laid eggs.

A metal slider connects the hutch to the aviary and enables easy and safe handling.

The times of compulsory stabling due to bird flu (avian influenza) present us all with special challenges. The health and well-being of your animals is a top priority during this phase.

Our quail barns are optimally designed to guarantee your animals safe, species-appropriate and stress-free accommodation even under these special conditions.

  • Maximum biosecurity: the design of our barns minimizes the risk of contamination from wild birds or other external vectors. Tight walls, closed roof constructions and secure entrances are standard.

  • Optimum barn climate: A healthy barn climate is essential, even with permanently closed housing. Our modern ventilation systems ensure that sufficient fresh air is always supplied and that ammonia and humidity levels are kept low. This is crucial for maintaining the animals' respiratory health.

  • Sufficient space and activity: Our stables offer an above-average amount of usable space and are designed in such a way that they integrate sufficient retreat options, activity material (e.g. picking stones, scratching area). This prevents boredom, stress and aggressive behavior, which can occur when animals are kept in stables for long periods.

Only high-quality materials are used for maximum stability and durability:

  • High-quality zinc wire (12.5 × 12.5 × 1.1 mm, (zinc/grey)

  • Moisture-resistant multiplex base and shelf

  • Roof made of sturdy trapezoidal sheet metal with anti-drip coating

  • Windows made of weather-resistant Plexiglas

The roof pitch is approx. 2-3 %, allowing rainwater to run off reliably. On request, the roof can be rotated by 180° or the entire shed can be constructed mirror-inverted - for maximum flexibility when positioning in the garden.

Detailed assembly instructions and all accessories (screws etc.) are of course included in the scope of delivery.

Intelligent double doors
Practical storage space at the top: The upper half of the door gives you direct access to the integrated storage compartment. Here you can store straw, feed or accessories dry and within easy reach. Safe access at the bottom: While the upper area remains closed, you can carry out cleaning work or look after your quails downstairs. Sophisticated design: The separate opening ensures that the heat in the coop is better stored and your animals are protected from draughts.

Shelter house
To keep everything clean and tidy, a practical dirt strip is fitted in the entrance area, which reliably keeps straw and shavings inside. The hutch is also designed so that if you choose an optional nesting box, the shelter leads directly into it, providing your animals with a protected and stress-free retreat.

Plastic foundation
To guarantee maximum longevity of your hutch, the model is already built on a special plastic foundation. This protective barrier prevents the wood from coming into direct contact with the ground and effectively prevents rot caused by rising damp or waterlogging.

Number of nesting boxes
Without nesting box: Ideal if you want to use the space in the hutch for other purposes. With one nesting box: The perfect solution for smaller groups. With two nesting boxes: Maximum comfort for a larger number of hens. Important ordering information: The coop can be equipped with either no, one or two nesting boxes. Please simply add the desired number of nesting boxes to the shopping cart as a separate accessory. This way we can ensure that your hutch is prepared exactly according to your wishes.
