Various environmental influences, including humidity and dryness, can lead to constant changes in robinia wood: when humidity is high, the wood absorbs water from the environment and swells; when it is dry, it releases moisture and contracts - so-called dry cracks form. These do not affect the stability or service life of the posts.
The slightly yellow-greenish coloration that fresh robinia posts initially exhibit can change after a relatively short time due to UV radiation and moisture. The resulting silver-grey patina is characteristic of robinia posts and forms a natural protective layer.
These typical shape and color characteristics as well as the natural, sinuous shapes of the robinia posts are an unavoidable unique selling point and give the posts a certain individuality. They make the posts visually appealing, convey a rustic image and are not a reason for complaint.
