- 230 V connection
- Max. 25 W / m (at 0° C)
- RCD 30 mA required on site
- Degree of protection IP 54 (splash-proof)
- By the meter up to 100 m
- Prevents the water pipe from freezing in the event of frost
- Heating output max. 25 W per meter at 0° C (9 W per meter at 10° C)
- The heating output is regulated automatically and continuously depending on the pipe temperature
- The heating cable can be shortened or extended
- Multiple branches are possible
- Maximum section length 90 m
- Repairs are possible in the event of damage
- The heating output automatically adjusts to different temperatures in different pipe sections
- Maximum length 150 m with 16 ampere fuse protection
- Note: To regulate the maximum water temperature, it is essential to install a pipe contact thermostat (Ref. 381520)
How it works
The two electric cables are surrounded by a polymer (insulating plastic) containing graphite particles.
- It is cold: the polymer contracts. The graphite particles come into contact with each other. The heating tape becomes warm.
- It is warm: The polymer expands. There is no longer any contact between the graphite particles. The heating tape does not heat up.
