Only with perfect earthing do you have full device performance on the fence
This device is prepared for operation from a 230 V socket. On request, it can be operated with a separately available battery connection cable with a 12 V rechargeable battery.
Power supply units are used when the pastures are close to a 230 V socket. Cables of up to 200 meters can easily be connected to the fence. As a rule, a power supply unit is installed when a new one is purchased and then performs its work unobtrusively, usually for decades. It is therefore particularly important that great care is taken when installing a new device in order to ensure that the device and fence continue to function reliably over the long term.
The perfect installation of your PATURA power supply unit
Power supply units are used when the pastures are close to a 230 volt socket. Cables up to 200 meters to the fence are easily possible. A power supply unit is usually installed when a new fence is purchased and then performs its work unobtrusively, at least for decades. It is therefore particularly important that great care is taken when installing a new device in order to ensure that the device and fence continue to function reliably over the long term.
If you pay attention to the following points, you will have a reliably functioning fence system for years to come:
- The suitable installation location for your power supply unit is on the outside wall of a building, under a sufficiently large canopy, near a power socket.
- If you want to install your device inside, this is only permitted in a building that is not at risk of fire.
- Lay a special high-voltage cable from the fence connection of the device to your fence.
- If you wish, you can install a fence switch to switch the power supply to different pastures separately.
- Use the same high-voltage cable to connect the earth connection of the device to the earth rods.
- Install your earthing slightly away from the building in a place where the soil is sufficiently moist all year round if possible.
- Check your earthing immediately after installation and later at least once a year, preferably during a dry phase.
- Protect your device from overvoltage in the power grid by using a device protection plug.
- Mark your fence with appropriate warning signs.
