Tetra Test 6in1. The Tetra Test 6in1 is a simple and quick test with test strips for checking 6 important water values in just one step. The test strips for determining water quality now have an additional parameter.
Total and carbonate hardness (GH + KH), nitrite (NO2), nitrate (NO3), pH value and now also chlorine (Cl2).
- The total hardness affects the health of fish, plants and microorganisms. The ideal value should be between 6° and 16° dH.
- The carbonate hardness regulates the constant pH value. A hardness level between 3° and 10° dH is recommended.
- A nitrite level in the zero range indicates that the filter is functioning optimally and the water is ideal for the fish.
- The nitrate content provides information about the water quality in the nitrate range. A high nitrate content is responsible for troublesome algae growth.
- The pH value provides important information about the acidity of the water. The ideal acidity is between 6.5 and 8.5. A higher pH value is detrimental to the beneficial bacteria and therefore also to the well-being of the fish.
- Provides important information on the chlorine content of the water. A value that is too high is harmful to the beneficial bacteria and therefore also to the well-being of the fish.
