The SureFlap DualScan cat door in white from Sure Petcare is a microchip-controlled cat flap that reads your cats' microchip or RFID collar tag when they enter and leave the living area. It is particularly useful for multi-cat households where some cats live outside and others are kept indoors permanently. It is also ideal when a new cat joins your outdoor cats and is not yet allowed outside during the acclimatization period.

As with all microchip cat doors, scanning the chip keeps outside cats and other animals such as raccoons out. The special design of the frame and the high-quality workmanship prevent the flap from being forced open by claws.

The SureFlap DualScan microchip cat door can be programmed at the touch of a button and stores up to 32 different microchip identification numbers. Alternatively, you can use the flap with an RFID collar tag if your cats are not chipped. You can also deactivate the microchip recognition to allow each animal to enter and exit.

Depending on your needs, you can set the cat flap as follows to keep control of your cats: completely open (normal operation), only in, only out or completely closed. The cat flap also has a safety programming mode for indoor cats. If a cat accidentally gets outside, it can get back into the home through the flap, provided it is fitted with a microchip or RFID collar tag.

The SureFlap DualScan cat flap can be installed in any type of door, window or wall. For optimal installation, you can purchase tunnel extensions and a mounting adapter for installation in glass panes separately. More detailed instructions for installation in doors and walls made of different materials can be found in the instructions. For doors with metal panels, you should follow the instructions in the manual, as metal can affect the reading range of the cat flap. However, this does not matter if installed correctly. Specific instructions for installation in doors with metal layers or core can also be found in the manual. It is recommended to use the mounting adapter for glass panes.

The SureFlap DualScan cat flap is the same size as the SureFlap microchip cat flap and many other standard cat doors on the market. It can therefore be easily replaced with old cat doors.
