The swamp zone is a wide and shallow bank zone at the edge of the pond that provides shelter for frogs, birds and other animals. Decorative plants such as marsh marigold and various irises can also be found here.

The shallow water zone connects seamlessly to the swamp zone and allows plants to filter nutrients from both the soil and the pond water. Purple loosestrife or pike weed are very suitable here.

The deep water zone offers space for elegant floating plants such as water lilies or rooting plants such as arrowleaf. There is also space for your pond pump here.
