The key feature of the PATURA calf bar is the special teat. It does not allow more liquid to pass through than the udder would naturally. The calves therefore take in milk in a similar way to their mother, which stimulates the flow of saliva, improves the pH value in the abomasum and thus contributes to better digestion. Childhood diseases such as diarrhea can be avoided. Healthy growth and better daily weight gain are the logical consequence. The more intensive suckling satisfies the sucking reflex and the calves suck on each other less.
