Juwel Phorax phosphate remover. The Juwel Phorax phosphate remover is a very effective filter medium for reducing phosphates in your aquarium. Fish food regularly introduces phosphates into the water, which can only be broken down incompletely by natural means.
Juwel Phorax consists of an aluminum mineral that binds dissolved phosphate and removes it from the water as insoluble aluminum phosphate. JUWEL Phorax is extremely effective and binds up to 12 mg of phosphate with just 1 gram of Phorax.
The breakdown of phosphates effectively reduces algae growth and promotes plant growth. Too much phosphate in the water can lead to a plague of algae.
Phorax is suitable for both fresh and salt water.
